Quality of coastal bathing water for 2010

This dataset contains the report on bathing water quality in Greece for the year 2010 and the monitoring data from bathing coasts on which it was based are included. The report was drafted under the responsibility of the Special Secretariat for Water (EGY) of the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change (YPEKA) within the framework of the ʻMonitoring Programme of Bathing Water Quality in Greeceʼ (http://www.ypeka.gr/Default.aspx?tabid=253&language=el-GR). The report was based on measurements made at 2,155 coasts around the country.,The data on bathing coasts comprise a corrected version (corrections pertain to the geographical coordinates of the coasts) of the data hosted by ΕΙΟΝΕΤ - European Environment Information and Observation Network (http://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/gr/eu/nbwd). The monitoring data from bathing coasts include, among other things, measurements of microbiological concentrations (Intestinal Entercocci and Escherichia coli) and classification of the water quality of each coast.
